Youth
photographic studio "KRAYAVID" was founded in 1990 on the
Minsk Palace of Youth basis (41 Starovilenski st.,Minsk, Belarus).
Students in the studio study black-and-white and colored photography.
Training program consists of the following classes: the history of
photography, darkroom process, composition, photographic design and
digital photo. Students are experimenting with different media and
materials, ranging from older chemical processes to the latest digital
forms of imaging. They are also increasing their creative potential
discussing images of local and foreign photographers.
The class of digital photo adds new possibilities to the Studio. With
the help of computers, digital cameras, flatbed and film scanner students
have the opportunity to produce original work on various media from
large color prints to compacts discs.
Students and instructors work side by side creating an environment
where the opportunity to learn through discussion is always present.
We constantly travel and the results of these outdoor workshops are
different photo exhibitions.
This web site combines images from different projects and presentations,
personal and group exhibitions.
The studio would like to collaborate with workshops and artists’ groups
in other cities and countries. We are looking for an opportunity to
exhibit the work of our students in other places and also provides
a studio gallery for photographers.
